I was the Art Director for Hoot Magazine, the fashion magazine at Barnard College of Columbia University, for the 2023-2024 academic year. The issues below are our FW23 and SS24 Issues. As the Art Director of our school's fashion magazine, I lead the visual storytelling and creative direction of each issue. As the Art Director, my role involved conceptualizing and executing striking visual layouts while also overseeing, directing, leading, and managing the graphic design and layout team. I collaborated closely with shoot directors, the graphic design and layout team, and the editor in chief to ensure a cohesive and compelling aesthetic. I curated the magazine’s visual content, selecting the right imagery and designing eye-catching spreads. Additionally, I oversaw the team's design development, ensuring that each spread captured the essence of each shoot and maintained visual coherence and appeal. I was responsible for curating the magazine’s visual content, from selecting the right imagery to overseeing the design development of eye-catching spreads that captured the essence of each shoot. My work ensured that every publication was not only visually stunning but also reflected the latest trends and our magazine’s unique voice.
